Fundraising CalendarsCalendars are the perfect fundraising idea. They enjoy universal appeal, serve a useful purpose and keep your organization's name and information in front of potential donors for an entire year. Just think of the number of times you look at your calendar in a single day. Now multiply that by the number of donors and by 365 days per year to see how much impact using a calendar can have.Fundraising calendars fall generally into 2 categories; sponsored calendars and gift calendars. Sponsored calendars are pretty self explanatory. Together, we choose a calendar and either you or we call various businesses or individuals in your area to sponsor the calendar in exchange for ad space on it. The calendar can include a picture and/or a sports schedule, or it can be simply the calendar and the ads. In the end, the sponsors pay all or some portion of the cost of the calendars so you get them at a greatly reduced (or at no) cost. You can then sell them to local businesses, homeowners, parents or your donor lists and keep most or all of the sales proceeds for your organization. Sponsor calendars are usually the single sheet (year on a page) or the hanger styles (one backer with a calendar pad attached to it). We occasionally sell the 6 page or 12 page calendars but don't recommend them as they are usually smaller (less ad space) and more costly (greater cost per ad for the sponsors). Most calendars will sell in the $5-$25 range, depending on your demographic and the calendar. Gift Calendars are generally pictoral calendars. You provide pictures of the things important to your organization or to your donors which we make into calendars. For example, a Church raising funds to build or renovate their facilities might choose a hanger style calendar with a drawing of the proposed structure to give their 'Founder's Level' contributors. A conservation group might take pictures of local wildlife for a 6 page executive style calendar to sell to their contributors and at local events. A Chamber of Commerce might conduct a photo contest to collect pictures of local sites to include in a 12 page appointment style calendar to sell to membership and to travelers at their Visitors Center. In both cases, there are a couple of things to consider:
